Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. As man, He was sinless, without fault: the only one worthy and capable of being the sacrifice to bridge the separation between mankind and God.
Jesus is the only way to God and the only way to find peace, purpose and direction in this life. Jesus is the only way of salvation.
Jesus is God, reveals the truth about God. Jesus is the source of all truth. Jesus is the standard for what is real in this world and is what corresponds to reality in the universe.
Jesus is life itself, He is the supplier of life, He is the resurrection and the life, through His death and resurrection those who put their faith in Him have eternal life and life abundantly.
Maybe you realize you need the cure for your brokenness, that you are in need of a savior. Perhaps your relationship with God isn't quite "right," or you aren't sure you are truly saved.
Romans 10:9 - "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
The Good News of the Gospel is acceptance into God's family...forever. It is entering into a personal relationship with Jesus. There is nothing you can do on your own, no good deed, no ritual, to bridge the innate separation between yourself and God. It is ONLY through the sacrifice and shed blood of Christ that you can enter into this right relationship.
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son so that anyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."
CONSIDER THIS PRAYER...
Saying the words of the prayer alone are not the means of salvation. It is only in trusting Christ that you are saved. However, this prayer can be used as a guide to express your faith in God and turn from sin, separation, and brokenness
God, I need you. I am tired of doing things my own way. I need you to come into my life and change me and guide me in a better path. I know I’m not perfect and that you can only have prefect things around you in heaven. I am coming to you believing that Jesus is the son of God who died to pay the price for me, so that I can eventually be made perfect before the gates of heaven. I accept your free gift of salvation and submit myself to you as my Lord and Savior.
Believers may fall into sin through neglect and temptation, whereby they grieve the Spirit, impair their graces and comforts, and bring reproach on the cause of Christ and temporal judgments on themselves; yet they shall be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.
