On August 8th, 2022, Dr. Morton took office as Cross Fellowship Church's 6th Lead Pastor.
Matthew was born and raised in Colorado Springs. Matthew has been serving students since 2000 and has served at Cross Fellowship since 2005. He and his beautiful bride Trisha have a son and daughter. He enjoys the outdoors, the Broncos, and the never ending Ultimate Frisbee games with his students. Matthew has a Masters of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and has received his doctoral degree from Gateway Seminary.

Travis grew up in Moore, OK and graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield, KS in 2003 with a degree in Music Education and was part of Leadership Southwestern, one of the prevailing leadership development programs in the nation. He met his wife on campus at Southwestern and they’ve been married since 2004. They have two beautiful/ornery daughters - Liv and Jayne. Travis is passionate about leading others in authentic, Christ-focused worship, pastoring people and developing leaders. He has served in full-time ministry for nearly two decades. In his spare time you can find Travis hanging out with his family or playing tennis.

Jeff is a graduate of Gateway Seminary and has had the privilege to serve as a pastor in several different areas. He loves going on mission trips and spending time with people no matter what their age. Jeff has been in Colorado since he was two, but the rest of the family (all Colorado natives) make sure he knows that doesn’t count as being a “Colorado Native”. His favorite things are spending time with the family, fishing and playing with the dogs. He is passionate about walking with people as the walk with the Lord.
Pastor Jeff works with the Children and Senior ministries, primarily at the Black Forest Campus.
Bill Gandy

Bill grew up in Kansas. He graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a major in Christian Ministry and minor in music. He met his wife Kelly at SBU while marching in the band. Bill has served in various church staff roles including worship, youth ministry, college ministry, and was a discipleship pastor in Missouri, Kansas, as well as in Washington State. Bill has been part of Cross Fellowship since 2005 where he has served in several interim and volunteer positions. He has been the director of the Baptist Student Union at the United States Air Force Academy for 16 years. He was voted in as the Campus Pastor for Palmer Park in May of 2022. Bill has four grown children Morgan, Mollie, Matthew, and Madison as well as 2 sons in law, Landon, and Tyler. He loves anything on 2 wheels.
PAden Rogers

Paden began his adventure to Cross Fellowship from Oklahoma Baptist University where he met his beautiful wife Brooke. They began their journey together in July of 2019. Paden is passionate about snowboarding, coffee, art and design, board games, and hiking with his wife and pup. Brooke and Paden have the fluffiest and most energetic of Goldendoodles, named Wrigley. Paden is truly passionate about seeing students truly grasp the calling to “GO,” no matter where they are at.
You can find Paden teaching Sundays and Wednesday nights at our Black Forest campus.

Dr. Tom Cathey was born and raised in Florida and moved to Colorado Springs in 2008. He became the Spiritual Life Pastor (small groups) in January of 2016. Tom and Gail have four adult children and have been a part of Cross Fellowship since 2014. Tom served as a Christian School Administrator for over 30 years in Florida and is now serving with the Association of Christian Schools International. Tom is passionate about strengthening and growing Cross FC's LIFE Groups and Discipleship Groups.

Mason is originally from Texas, however, he moved here with his family when he was only 1 year old, so he is practically a Colorado native. His passions include skiing, football, playing guitar, and enjoying everything the mountains of Colorado have to offer. Mason has a passion for guiding youth students to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and equipping them to go out and reach the lost with the Gospel. Currently, he is pursuing a degree of psychology with an emphasis in biblical studies from Colorado Christian University. Upon graduating from Colorado Christian University, Mason will enter seminary to continue his pastoral pursuits.
Mason leads the student ministry at the Palmer Park Campus.

Sharon moved to Colorado Springs in 2015. She is married to her husband Keith and they have two kids, Kieven and Abigail. She has an Elementary Education degree form Southwest Baptist University. She loves kids of all ages. Her favorite things are going to church camp and on mission trips. She loves to see kids having fun while learning about Jesus.
Sharon works at our Palmer Park campus to passionately reach children and their families.
Bill Montgomery

Bill was raised in Southern California, moved to Colorado Springs by way of the Army. Bill retired from the Army in 2012 after 22 years of service and multiple deployments. He holds a Bachelor of Biblical Studies from Colorado Christian University, Master of Theological Studies from Gateway Seminary. Bill became our Military Outreach Pastor in 2021 after completing our Pastoral Residency Program. Bill attends our Palmer Park campus and leads a men’s Bible study, as well as our resident Reboot Combat Trauma leader. Bill’s passion is to reach those that are struggling to find their identity post-combat, post-retirement, in Christ with a Christ centered healing.
David Haynes

David was born and raised in Bristol, Tennessee and moved to Colorado Springs in 2017 after a 24-year career in the United States Air Force. He holds a Master's of Divinity from Liberty University and upon completing our Pastoral Residency program, he became our Missions Pastor in 2021. Pastor David and his family attend our Palmer Park Campus where he also serves as Associate Campus Pastor and Life Group leader. David is passionate about reaching the least-reached people groups with the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ.
As an avid outdoorsman, David can often be found fly fishing on our local lakes and streams.
KElly Gandy

Kelly grew up in Colorado Springs. After graduating from Southwest Baptist University she married Bill. After stops in Missouri, Kansas and Washington she moved home to Colorado in 2005 when they joined Cross Fellowship. She and Bill have four kids that keep them busy, Morgan, Mollie, Matthew and Maddie. She loves being the hands of Jesus whether it is through Vacation Bible School, serving meals, mission trips or holding babies in the nursery.

Tiffany was born and raised right here in Colorado Springs, graduating from Vista Ridge High School in 2014. She attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, graduating in 2018 with a bachelors of Fine Arts in Digital Design. She has been on staff with Cross Fellowship since March of 2021. Tiffany and her husband, Dustin, just got married in September of 2022, and live with their dog Nala and cat Texas. Tiffany is passionate about dogs, coffee, art and design and spending quality time with her family and friends. In her free time she enjoys drawing, game nights with her friends, and doing anything with her pup. Tiffany is active in Cross Fellowship’s young adult ministry, and also has a passion for Vacation Bible School.

Jordan grew up in Colorado Springs until she was 9 years old and then moved to Kansas until she was 18. She attended Ozark Christian College where she studied for a year and then moved to Colorado in April of 2019, and has been coming to Cross Fellowship Church ever since. She has been on staff at Cross Fellowship since January 2021, first as the Preschool Director at Palmer Park before transitioning to one of our ministry assistants in June of 2021. She loves spending time with her family and is very creative.

Abby moved to Colorado Springs in 2019. She and her husband Nathan started attending Cross Fellowship in late 2020 and she joined staff in early 2021. Abby is currently working on her English degree and will continue on to get her Secondary Education teaching license. Abby is passionate about helping others and getting everything ready for Sunday morning worship. When she is not working on homework her passions are coffee, family, the outdoors, and hanging out with friends.

Dr. Bob Bender is our Pastor Emeritus, having served as Cross Fellowships Lead Pastor for 19 years. He will be on Sabbatical this fall, enjoying this new season in life with his family.
Bob and his wife, and greatest supporter, Beverly, are living the dream with three married children and eleven grandchildren all residing in Colorado Springs. This Oklahoma native has been in ministry since graduating from high school. He has two degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas and is an adjunct professor for Gateway Seminary with classes you can take at the Black Forest Campus.

Kim moved back to Colorado in 2013 after living in Idaho and Washington for 11 years. Her husband, Travis and her joined Cross Fellowship church in 2014. Kim and Travis have been married since 1998, and have two boys, Tanner and Chase. Both boys grew up in the youth group at Cross Fellowship and are actively involved in the Young Adults group. Kim is an elementary education teacher and teaches 3rd thru 6th graders at Cherry Valley Elementary. She has a passion to build relationships with children through lots of love and laughter, while helping them to build a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Kim can be found in the Children’s area at the Black Forest Campus.

Angi and her husband, Hank, moved to Colorado in 2019. They began attending Cross Fellowship Church shortly after their arrival, and Angi joined the staff in September of that year. One of her favorite sayings is “Home is where God sends us” and Colorado Springs has definitely become home! They have two adult daughters, Kirstin and Micah, two sons-in-laws, Wes and Derek, and one sweet, rambunctious grandson, Trapper.
Angi enjoys spending time with her family and friends, sipping a good cup of coffee, and serving in Cubbies and the preschool ministry at Palmer Park.

The purpose of CFC Women’s Ministry is to support women in their spiritual walks as they grow in their love for God and others. Women’s Ministry offers a variety of activities, including Bible study, MOPs, Healing Hearts (widow’s ministry/fellowship), leadership development, prayer groups, Busy Hands, and a monthly book club.
