Married: Yes – 27 years Children: Yes, three children, 18, 19, and 25 (recently married) Availability: Wednesday & Friday mornings and weekday evenings. I was saved at the age of 4. Oh, how God has walked with me since that time! Through my growing up years, depression, Bible college in Chicago, teaching in China, breaking off a wedding engagement, single until 28 years old, marriage, decades of chronic fatigue and autoimmune diseases, secondary infertility and 2 miscarriages, a kid on the autism spectrum (lots of calls from the school), all 3 of our kids with ADHD and taking care of an aging mom. God has shown me that now is the time to mentor other women. I have led women through discipleship and seen obedience and, therefore, growth. In my twenties, I had various jobs, including landscape work, a desk job at the White Pages, waitress, at a Christian bookstore, and classroom teacher (from college to preschool director, and all ages in between). I have stayed home raising our kids and being a housewife for the last 26 years. I love hearing from God in his word, studying his word, leading and participating in Bible studies (including Precepts), and memorizing it (John 10, 1-5 and 6:1-40)

Married: Widowed – Was married 45 years Children: Yes, two adult children – both married Grandchildren: Yes, 5 grandchildren Currently available to take mentees: Yes. Available to take one. Dates/Times: Varies (once a week or once every two weeks based on mentee’s preference.) Though I grew up in a non-Christian home, I have been a Christian since I was 7 years old! I grew up poor in a very dysfunctional family and am continuously grateful that God called me to Himself young, as I have had the guidance, comfort, and support of the Holy Spirit since that time. I am a 70-year-old widow. I was married to Doug for 45 years. We were engaged at 18 and married at 19! I have two adult children. Rebecca is married to Brian and has two sons, Ben and Josh. I have the pleasure of living in a large home with them in the Glen Eagle area. My son Jered lives in Southern California with his wife Karla and their three children—Adam, Violet, and Penelope. Doug and I were missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators in the 1980’s. Additionally, I have worked outside of my home most of my life. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with experience as a school counselor, a social worker, and a manager with Child Protective Services, and have taught and worked in the domestic violence field. I am currently working part-time in private practice, seeing clients out of my home. I feel called to support mentoring at CFC, as it is a biblical mandate for older women to help younger women, and because I very much enjoy supporting women in their sanctification as they grow one step closer to Jesus!
